About Us

Your hosts
Rachel, Cherryl and Lilith
We are a mother and daughter (and granddaughter) team who live in the idyllic Wairarapa valley.
We started our journey with alpacas in 2012 when we bought our 6 acre lifestyle block and a small breeding herd. We did our research and fell in love with the alpaca’s unique characters and gentle ways – we especially love their hums hence both our herd names have a meaning associated to song.

Acapella – from the Italian meaning to sing without instrumental accompaniment
&
Koroki – Maori word meaning song of bird

We have been fortunate to meet many knowledgeable and enthusiastic people who have passionately passed on their own wisdom of alpacas. We have made a wide network of alpaca owners and breeders whom we are lucky enough to know and share our passion with.
Whether you are looking for a few pets or to start your own herd, we are here to connect you with your alpacas – or maybe just a cuddle with one of ours!
